This film was created to inspire and bring strength to those that are struggling silently, and to educate and bring awareness to the importance of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
“Man Of The House” originated from a phrase my father used to say, before he left the house, “When I’m not here, you’re the Man of the House.” Sadly, at the age of 5, he died by Suicide, leaving my 1 year old sister, 29 year old mother, and many other loving Family and Friends. For most of my life, no one in my family talked about his suicide, including myself, because I was too afraid to be vulnerable and possibly be judged by my peers.
